Understanding your SSAdmin dashboard and key metrics
Overview
The Dashboard is your central hub for monitoring school operations. It provides at-a-glance insights into student data, academic progress, and administrative tasks.
Accessing the Dashboard
The Dashboard is the default landing page after logging in. You can also access it by:
- Clicking the SSAdmin logo in the top left corner
- Clicking Dashboard in the navigation menu (if available)
- Navigating directly to
/dashboard
Dashboard Components
Key Metrics Cards
The top section displays summary statistics:
- Total Students - Current active student count
- New Applications - Pending applications awaiting review
- Active Classes - Classes currently in session
- Payment Status - Overview of tuition payment status
Quick Actions
Common tasks accessible from the dashboard:
- Add New Student - Quick link to student registration
- View Applications - Review pending applications
- Class Schedule - Today's class schedule
- Recent Activity - Your recent actions in the system
Data Visualizations
Charts and graphs showing:
- Student enrollment trends
- Payment collection progress
- Attendance rates
- Academic performance metrics
Notifications Panel
Important alerts and updates:
- System announcements
- Pending approvals
- Deadline reminders
- Critical issues requiring attention
Understanding Your Metrics
Student Metrics
Total Students:
- Counts all active students across your accessible campuses
- Excludes withdrawn and deferred students
- Updates in real-time as records change
By Level:
- Level 1 students (first year)
- Level 2 students (second year)
- Shows distribution across academic levels
By Status:
- Active - Currently enrolled students
- New Intake - Recently admitted students
- Makeup/Carryover - Students with incomplete requirements
Academic Metrics
Class Attendance:
- Average attendance rate across classes
- Comparison with previous periods
- Campus-specific breakdowns
Feedback Completion:
- Percentage of students who submitted class feedback
- Course feedback statistics
Financial Metrics
Payment Status Overview:
- Fully paid students
- Partial payments
- Outstanding balances
- Payment extensions
Collection Progress:
- Current vs. expected tuition collection
- Comparison with previous intakes
Customizing Your View
Filtering Dashboard Data
Apply filters to view specific data:
- Campus Filter - View data for specific campuses
- Level Filter - Focus on Level 1 or Level 2 data
- Intake Filter - View data for specific intake periods
- Date Range - Select custom date ranges for time-based metrics
Refreshing Data
Dashboard data updates automatically. To manually refresh:
- Click the refresh icon (if available)
- Refresh your browser page
- Log out and log back in for persistent issues
Check the dashboard regularly at the start of your workday to stay informed about pending tasks and important updates.
Role-Based Dashboard Views
Your dashboard content varies based on your role:
HQ Admin
- Organization-wide statistics
- All campus data aggregated
- Backend system health indicators
- Admin activity overview
Campus Admin
- Campus-specific statistics only
- Local student and class data
- Campus payment collection status
- Campus-level reports
If you need access to additional dashboard metrics, contact your system administrator.
Common Dashboard Tasks
Reviewing Pending Applications
- Locate the "Pending Applications" widget
- Click on the count or "View All" link
- Review applications in the queue
- Approve or reject as appropriate
Checking Today's Classes
- Find the "Today's Schedule" section
- View classes scheduled for today
- Click on a class for more details
- Note any conflicts or issues
Monitoring Payment Status
- Review the payment status widget
- Note students with outstanding balances
- Click through to payment details
- Follow up on overdue payments
Troubleshooting
Dashboard not loading?
- Check your internet connection
- Clear browser cache and cookies
- Try accessing from a different browser
Metrics seem incorrect?
- Verify your filter settings
- Check if data has been recently updated
- Contact support if discrepancies persist
Missing widgets or sections?
- Your role may not have access to certain metrics
