Navigation Guide
Learn how to navigate the SSAdmin interface effectively
Overview
The SSAdmin interface is designed for efficient navigation across all administrative functions. This guide will help you understand the layout and find features quickly.
Main Layout
The SSAdmin interface consists of four main areas:
1. Top Header
Located at the top of every page, the header contains:
- App Switcher - Switch between different applications (if available)
- Search Bar - Quick search for students, courses, or other records
- Notifications - View system notifications and alerts
- User Profile - Access your profile settings and logout option
2. Left Sidebar
The main navigation menu organized by functional areas:
Admitted User
- Users (Existing, New Intake, Applications, etc.)
- Student statistics and reports
Academic & Learning
- Class management
- Course management
- Feedbacks
- Student academic reports
Tuition
- Fee management
- Payment tracking
- Financial reports
Assessment
- Exams
- Quizzes
- Projects
Orientation
- Materials
- Schedules
- Submissions
Bulk Uploads
- Applications
- Attendance
- Clearance
- Payments
Makeup & Carryover
- Makeup assignments and completions

3. Content Area
The main working area where you interact with data:
- Page Header - Current page title and breadcrumbs
- Action Buttons - Create, export, and other actions
- Filters - Filter and search options
- Data Table/Content - Main data display
4. Footer
Contains:
- Version information
- Support links
- Legal information
Navigation Tips
Using the Sidebar
- Expand/Collapse - Click on menu sections to expand or collapse them
- Active Item - The current page is highlighted in the sidebar
- Scroll - Scroll within the sidebar to access all menu items
Quick Navigation
Keyboard Shortcuts:
- Use browser back/forward buttons to navigate between pages
- Use browser search (Ctrl+F / Cmd+F) to find text on current page
Breadcrumbs:
- Click on breadcrumb links to navigate to parent pages
- Breadcrumbs show your current location in the navigation hierarchy
Search Functionality
The global search bar allows you to:
- Search for students by name or ID
- Find courses by name or code
- Locate specific records quickly
Use specific search terms for better results. For example, search by student ID for exact matches.
Menu Structure by Role
Your visible menu items depend on your assigned role:
HQ Admin
- Full access to all menu items
- Backend configuration access
- All reports and statistics
Campus Admin
- Campus-specific data access
- Limited backend access
- Campus reports only
If you cannot see a menu item you need access to, contact your system administrator.
Common Navigation Patterns
Viewing Records
- Navigate to the relevant section (e.g., Users > Existing)
- Use filters to narrow down the list
- Click on a record to view details
- Use action buttons for edit, delete, or other operations
Creating New Records
- Navigate to the relevant section
- Click the "Create" or "Add" button (usually in the top right)
- Fill in the required information
- Click "Save" or "Submit"
Filtering Data
- Click the "Filter" button or expand the filter panel
- Select filter criteria (campus, level, status, etc.)
- Click "Apply" to filter the data
- Click "Clear" or "Reset" to remove filters
Exporting Data
- Apply any necessary filters
- Click the "Export" button
- Select export format (CSV, Excel)
- Download the file
Mobile Navigation
When accessing SSAdmin on mobile devices:
- Menu Toggle - Tap the hamburger icon to open/close the sidebar
- Scrolling - Swipe to scroll through tables and content
- Actions - Tap and hold for additional options on some items
For the best experience, use SSAdmin on a desktop or laptop computer. Some features may have limited functionality on mobile devices.
Troubleshooting Navigation Issues
Sidebar not appearing?
- Refresh the page
- Clear browser cache
- Try a different browser
Page not loading?
- Check your internet connection
- Verify you have permission to access the page
- Contact support if the issue persists
Search not returning results?
- Check spelling and try different search terms
- Ensure you have permission to view the records
- Try using filters instead
