Deferred Students

View students who have deferred their studies

Overview

The Deferred Students page displays students who have temporarily paused their studies. These students intend to return in a future intake.

Viewing the Table

  1. Navigate to Admitted User > Users > Deferred
  2. View all deferred students

Table Columns

Searching

Search by name, student ID, or email.

Filtering

  • Campus - Filter by campus
  • Level - Filter by level
  • Expected Return - Filter by expected return date
  • Deferral Date - Date range

Actions

View Profile

View student details and deferral information.

Reactivate Student

When student returns:

  1. Click Reactivate
  2. Assign to new intake
  3. Student moves to Active status

Sorting

Sort by Name, Campus, Deferral Date, or Expected Return.

Pagination

Standard pagination controls.

Permissions/Access

All admin roles can view within their campus scope.

Common Workflows

Following Up on Deferred Students

  1. Filter by Expected Return approaching current date
  2. Export list for outreach
  3. Contact students about returning
  4. Process reactivation requests

Reactivating a Deferred Student

  1. Find student in Deferred list
  2. Verify they want to return
  3. Click Reactivate
  4. Assign to appropriate intake
  5. Student appears in New Intake

Deferred students retain their academic records and can resume from where they left off.
